The history &
resotration of the
Kungaloosh Hideaway.
The Kungaloosh Hideaway serves as our sanctuary, but Casual Tiki is our official field guide for the rest of the world. Operating out of the Sector 4 Outpost, our primary directive is simple: make the escapism of tiki accessible to any explorer.
To us, this culture is about building a relaxed, tropical refuge that champions a come-as-you-are attitude (safari jackets and Hawaiian shirts equally welcome). You shouldn’t need a cargo hold full of obscure rums to enjoy a great drink.
Out in the field, we quickly learned that “perfect” is the enemy of “good.” The academic mixologists back at headquarters have fully embraced the strict dogma of traditional tiki. For a weary traveler or a novice quartermaster just starting out, those rigid rules can feel downright daunting.
There have been countless journals charting these waters, and while their archival work is brilliant, their purist demands can actually make the craft harder. Casual Tiki is here to simplify the expedition and strip away the pretense.
Simplicity isn’t found in arbitrary ingredient limits; it is found by organizing your supplies by actual accessibility and need.
We have poured over classic libation archives and designed a tiered supply system. Whether you are foraging from your own herb garden or stocking a small home base, our master manifests ensure that anyone can easily identify what to stock, how to mix it, and how to build a proper bar without needing a museum’s worth of ingredients.
See you at the bar,
